Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate opened with vehicle restrictions


The Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate at the Kruger National Park (KNP) is currently open for vehicles with higher ground clearance such as 4X4s, 4X2s and SUVs.

The water flow over the mid-section of the low water bridge is relatively high.

  • On 31 May 1926 the National Parks Act was proclaimed and with it the merging of the Sabie and Shingwedzi Game Reserves into the Kruger National Park. The first motorists entered the park in 1927 for a fee of one pound.
